I just got my navel pierced for the first time at the ripe old age of 24. I have the following questions:

My piercer told me only to use sterile saline solution (contact lens solution) 4 times daily with Q-tip cotton swabs and clean hands to care for the wound. He did not prepare me for any of the “crusting or oozing” I am reading about online. What should I do if this occurs? He said not to use soap on it except just to let it run over the wound and rinse thoroughly in the shower if contact occurs. Do you use a dry paper towel or Q-tip to dry yours after showering, cleaning, etc.?

How long did it take for your piercing to heal to the point of being COMFORTABLE and forgetting about it while sitting, laying, dressing, etc.? I feel like I am going to baby it forever, but lead an active lifestyle and don’t want it to hinder my activities!!

I will be spending the summer in Italy and don’t want to miss out of the Mediterranean sea and Italian/French Riviera when I am traveling. I am leaving in 7 weeks. Is there any possibility I can go in for a quick dip? If so, how long should I wait, how should I clean the piercing, and what special care should I take? I know this water is gross, just like any other standing or public water, but this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!

How long did you wait to get back into intense cardio and core/abdominal exercise activities after your piercing? Do you clean it directly following any sweaty workout? Anything in particular that I should watch out for?

Is there ANYTHING else I should know?

Thank you in advance for kind replies!
I did this a couple days after getting my wisdom teeth pulled so I am not focusing on any one thing hurting/being wrong and am already on antibiotics… I thought ahead 🙂

What are some of your daily activities when you travel alone and what are specific ways to achieve the following:

    Learn about people/culture
    Meet people (females, particularly)
    Be out of comfort zone
    Get lost
    Have fun
Become a more interesting person, overall

(There is tons of info on the internet in terms of travel tips and what not, but I can’t find much info on what I’m talking about… please don’t point me to some travel site, I’d like all info to be taken strictly from personal experiences.)

I’m going to make this short!

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to be the type of person who is know(famous), for achieving something. I’m 18 now and I hate working 9-5. I don’t see myself doing it in the future and I want my life to consist of doing something different and traveling, having an influence on people all around the world. I want to start with youtube and though I love beauty and fashion, I don’t think I’m good enough to give tips on those topics and plus there’s thousands of girls doing the same thing trying to make it. I’m also really interested in health, photography, film-making, web-designing, and helping people.

So what can I do to become a well-known person on youtube? I really need some ideas of how and what I can do. whatever helps. Please don’t be rude.
